The movie opens with a man handing a boy a gun and telling him to shoot a cat.

A women robs a man's laundry shop with some thugs. They briefly hold his infant son at gunpoint.

A women is shot to death by the police, we do not see the actual impact of the bullets but we hear her scream and we see her dead body on the ground later.

The cat disintegrates a man, kinda graphic as we see his body begin to melt and strip away.

Some men lure a boy into a room and begin to beat him up, we can't see this on screen but we can hear the impact of the punches and see the door rattling. The cat startles the men by blowing a hole in the door, and the boy takes advantage of this by beating the men, we him punch and hit the men.

A man tries to suffocate the cat with a machine. The cat twists in pain screaming about how it's dying and can't breath. When the man come into the room to finish the job and shoot the cat he is attacked.

The military shoots at some flying saucers in the sky.

There is one scene where a wine glass falling to the floor is the focus of a shot.

While this is not the most graphic movie ever the fact that a child is in constant danger throughout makes the movie pretty tense.

The scene at the end where the boy is contemplating whether or not to kill his father can be especially distressing.
