This is a war movie, but there is no blood whatsoever...at all. Soldiers are shot with guns and cannons and stabbed with swords during the battle scenes, but it is not at all graphic.

There is some mild menacing with guns, knives, and bayonets. The blade of the guillotine falls (in the distance) executing the King (not seen). The devil is portrayed as a hooded figure in the shadows in several scenes.
