Woman invites man to her apartment for a drink. After a few minutes, she excuses herself and goes to bed, leaving him confused as to what her intentions were. Later, it's obvious they are seeing each other and are in a relationship. It is implied they are having sex and they later marry. She later talks about traveling to Paris with a female painter. That, along with her mostly cold attitude to her husband, supposedly implies she is actually a lesbian.
