Especially near the end, the film overall is very existential, with Truman questioning his life at numerous points and this may be a bit depressing and hopeless to some viewers.

Some suspenseful moments as Truman attempts to challenge the limits of his world: trying to drive over a bridge, driving through a wall of fire, stepping in front of moving traffic, battling a conjured weather storm in a sailboat, etc.
