A man recounts the tale of how he conquered a fierce enemy. He then holds up his opponent's decapitated head as proof of his victory.

A group of samurai, after raping and killing a woman and her daughter, burn their thatch hut to the ground.

By current standards, the film isn't that frightening. It's very dark and atmospheric at times. There aren't many people it would scare.
