This entire movie revolves around harvesting of a spice... a drug of sorts... that gives the user some sort of mysterious powers. Still, in the middle of a sci-fi movie with over-the-top, futuristic art direction, several escorts of a slug-like alien creature appear to have cigars in their mouths. There are three separate scenes in which these characters appear, two of which occur indoors.

The Main villain takes pleasure in sexually and violently tormenting his male slaves. Nothing graphic is shown on screen; it is more of an idea that is implied. Some may find it disturbing to watch.
