A man is savagely beaten in the film's first few minutes. Then he is tied to a post and set on fire. He is shown screaming in agony as the fire engulfs him. Extremely disturbing.

Then the same is shown lying covered in stitches in hospital, but still alive and with one eye unpatched. A nurse arrives and jams needle into his eyeball, in close-up. While isn't very graphic, it's still pretty shocking to watch.

A man is graphically slashed with spears and has his throat cut (in rather quick succession), accompanied with very sinister music.

A woman is dragged out of her car then has her head is smashed with a rock off-screen. Later, she is shown lying on mortician table, her face looking severely damaged and gruesome.

A man has acid pushed into his nose and his face then melts, with black stuff coming out, but special effects look pretty unconvincing. On the other hand, they probably did the best they could do.

A woman is shot with somewhat bloody results.

A man's hands are shown in decomposing manner.

A human heart is seen in a box.

Many frightening scenes where people are being chased and killed.. It managed to create and sustain sheer terror and creepiness from start to finish, aided by sudden and savage images of violence and eerie score. Opening scene is disturbing.
