The moon beast attacks several people, most notably who are playing cards in a tent. An arm is torn from one man which is then thrown down by the beast. Very little blood is seen. The other attacks are milder.

Two scenes could be frightening to children: one is the attack by the moon beast of several men in a tent. The other is where (in an imagined sequence) the main character jumps out of a tram going up a mountainside and falls to the ground. The in-hospital transformation scene is very mild and children will not be frightened by it.
