A man runs down the street naked. His bare butt is shown from a distance several times.

Numerous cast members are "consumed" by the blob, which the story says dissolves human flesh on contact. Some of these deaths are disturbing in nature, given how the creature consumes victims. A pet kitten is consumed as well. Several victims have pieces of the blob on their body during the death scenes, but mostly we just see people screaming and being overwhelmed by a giant red mass.

Many of the young people in the movie are depicted smoking cigarettes, marijuana, and drinking alcohol, especially during a party scene. Another scene has a group of three men drinking grain alcohol together and acting extremely drunk.
