In the first episode Tomoe visits the Red Light District of the youkai world. He is seen with a few Tanuki (raccoon dog) women hanging over him and pouring him sake. Tomoe is fully clothed aside from his partially open kimono.

Tomoe shape shifts and goes to school as Nanami one day. The boys, including Kurama, comment on her/his more developed figure. Kurama says, "Nice rack."

There is a lesser god who reveals that he was hiding in the girls' locker room to see the girls changing. He says he wishes to taste them; he does end up licking one of them on the face, but this isn't really explicit or graphic, just gross.

In the first OVA, Kurama, Mizuki, and Tomoe get drunk and argue over whether Nanami pads her bra. A drunk Tomoe grabs Nanami's breast when she walks in the room to check.

Nanami is kidnapped by a lower kami (god) who wishes to marry her. She is nearly "jumped" by him (he grabs her by the waist) before Tomoe steps in.

One character says to Nanami "I wouldn't mind you in my bed." when Nanami is trying to find a place for sick Tomoe to sleep.

One character is a very flamboyantly gay wind god. He is seen wearing an revealing one piece swimsuit in one episode. His friend is wearing a tight speedo. This is only seen for one second (from the back) and it is not graphic at all.

In season 2 Tomoe is turned back into a wild youkai and he holds Nanami in his arms while she is sleeping for about a minute.

In another episode Tomoe is seen fighting back romantic feelings. He puts a divider between his and Nanami's beds, but Nanami sleepwalks into his bed at night and he holds her again.

Tomoe pins Nanami to the floor and pretends to "jump" her to show her how uncomfortable he was when she was changing in front of him.

Akura-ou visits the Red Light District and says he wants to have some "fun" before burning the place down and killing the women.

Lots of mild fighting throughout the series. Many gods and youkai are after Nanami's land god mark, so they attack her frequently at the beginning of the series. None of the violence is gory or graphic though.

In season 2 Tomoe and Akura-ou are seen terrorizing villages and burning buildings down. There is a little blood shown here.

There is a more significant amount of blood shown in Kako-Hen (the OVAs after season 2), but the blood is shown as the color black so it's not as disturbing.

Hell, damn, bastard are used a few times throughout the series. The language is PG at most.

Characters drink sake in many different episodes, this is mostly used ceremonially though.

Nanami gets drunk after eating too many sake flavored buns. This is mostly used for comedic purposes.

Myzaki gets drunk at a launch party. Also for comedic purposes.

Tomoe smokes a pipe occasionally.

Nanami's father is seen smoking cigarettes in flashback scenes.

Some of the youkai Tomoe and Nanami encounter would be scary for young children. In the first episode an old woman turns into a hag who brandishes a butcher's knife at Nanami. A character is seen dying a slow and painful death but this is stopped by one of the kind gods in the story. For the most part, the scariest scenes are only as frightening as those found in Disney movies.
