The corpses of those killed by the rain are everywhere, and if a character touches one, or accidentally touches a puddle or body of water without protection, they are infected, and can infect others until they die shortly after.

Victims of the infection go into a frenzy, which can be intense and disturbing.

Throughout the show, victims of the viral infection go into convulsions, vomit, or foam at the mouth before dying. These scenes are usually brief.
