A man called Major is in Cairo after being released from a German Prison. He is there to proceed with his plan to steal the jewelry from the King Tutankhamen exhibit at the national gallery. This plan has been on hold since he was jailed. He enlists the help of Willy, Ali, Nicodemos, Kerim and Kuchuk to carry out his detailed 'foolproof' plan. Perhaps the curse of the Pharoahs is more than a superstition because Major soon finds out that while the robbery may be easy, getting out with the jewels may be the hardest part.

A prequel to David Lynch and Mark Frost's earlier TV series "Twin Peaks". The first half-hour or so concerns the investigation by FBI Agent Chet Desmond (Chris Isaak) and his partner Sam Stanley (Kiefer Sutherland) into the murder of night-shift waitress Teresa Banks in the small Washington state town of Deer Meadow. When Desmond finds a mysterious clue to the murder, he inexplicably disappears. The film then cuts to one year later in the nearby town of Twin Peaks and follows the events during the last week in the life of Laura Palmer (Sheryl Lee) a troubled teenage girl with two boyfriends; the hot-tempered rebel Bobby Briggs (Dana Ashbrook) and quiet biker James Hurley (James Marshall), her drug addiction, and her relationship with her difficult (and possibly schizophrenic) father Leland (Ray Wise), a story in which her violent murder was later to motivate much of the TV series. Contains a considerable amount of sex, drugs, violence, very loud music and complex or interpretive imagery.

When seven archaeologists find an old Inca temple, they become the victims of an old Inca curse. Back in Europe, one by one they fall into a deep sleep and only once a day, all at the same time, they wake up for some minutes and have hallucinations of the Inca god. The story begins with the 6th archaeologist being put into sleep by the contents of a crystal ball that are thrown into his car by Indios. The last conscious archaeologist stays at Tintin and Haddock in Moulinsart. A thunderstorm approaches and the lights go out. This is used by the Indios to put the last one in sleep and to capture professor Tournesol, who has proved to be a desecrater of the sanctuary by putting on the bracelet of the Inca god. His friends Tintin and Haddock follow the track to Peru, up to the mountains through snow and jungle and finally discover the temple of the sun wheres they are captured, too. Their only choice is to chose the day on which they want to be burned to death by the sun. Tintin chooses wisely and is able use the a solar eclipse. At the end he achieves forgiveness and the archaeologists are cured from their curse and Tournesol is freed.

When the U.S. learns the Soviets are about to launch a manned mission to the moon, they feel it imperative that they get there first. The moon program isn't ready to launch yet so they decide to send one man in a modified Gemini capsule that will be able to land on the moon. The astronaut will have to stay there for up to a year - in a special built shelter that will be sent ahead of time - until an Apollo mission can rescue him. The obvious choice for the mission is Chiz, who knows the Gemini inside out but the Soviets are sending civilians, not military men, so geologist Lee Stegler is asked to go. He has only three weeks however to learn about the intricacies of the spacecraft and no one is sure if he will make it.

There's a tradition in a certain section of England that the unwed eldest daughter in a family must wear green stockings when a younger sister gets married. Celia Faraday is forced to do that once, but when her younger sister Phyllis announces she will marry Robert Tarver, Celia refuses to go through that humiliation again and invents a fiance for herself, "Colonel Smith". To make it seem more real, she writes letters to her "fiance", but never mails them. One day one of the letters accidentally gets mailed, and is received by a real Colonel Smith, who decides to check out who his "fiance" really is.

After the death of a provincial bourgeois, George Laffite, all his close relatives are gathered in his huge mansion to mourn him and see who gets what from his estate; an attractive widow, Hélène, aged thirty-five, Antoinea, moronic son, Victoire, daughter at religious boarding school and the reactionary grandfather, Edmond. Suddenly freed from paternal supervision, the family members plunge into unrestrained sexuality with a rutting driver and an equally willing maid, eliminating all the differences in status. Greed, lust, love and class conflict between the family and their payed servants create a real mess rather quickly.

In this live-action adaptation of the comic, Professor Calculus has just written a book called "The Earth is Starving". He appears on television to appeal to the scientists of the world to work towards a solution to the hunger problem. Soon afterwards, he receives a package from a Spanish professor, Antenor Zalamea, which contains a blue orange that can be grown in desert soil. Calculus travels to Spain, but a criminal emir who wants the discovery for himself kidnaps both professors. Tintin and Captain Haddock come to the rescue with the help of some local children.
