In August of 1978 a small town in eastern Ohio was thrust into the spotlight when a local family sighted a "monster" in the woods behind their home. Over subsequent evenings they were repeatedly visited by the creature culminating in a late-night encounter that ended in local police being called in. The story blasted onto the front pages of newspapers across the state and into the consciousness of a nation. For weeks, police, news crews, and scores of hunters descended on the town of Minerva with one common goal; to find the beast. In the midst of this hurricane of activity stood the Cayton family. Their call to local police spurred a media frenzy that continued for years and brought them unwanted attention and ridicule. In time, their story was forgotten and lost to time. Now, nearly 36 years later, the Minerva Monster will be unveiled once again. Featuring in-depth interviews with law enforcement, media personnel and witnesses, Minerva Monster aims to retell the Cayton's story as it never has been before. Against the backdrop of small-town America a myth will become reality. The documentary film is directed by Seth Breedlove, and produced by Jesse Morgan and Alan Megargle. Minerva Monster is the first in a series of documentaries called Small Town Monsters. Setting aside all the drama, and preamble of previous "monster" documentaries, Minerva Monster will tell the story through witness interviews; the real story, in the words of those who lived it.

The third Small Town Monsters film dives into the long history of sightings of the legendary Fouke Monster spotlighted in the classic horror film, the Legend of Boggy Creek. Boggy Creek Monster shows the decades long search for an unknown creature said to exist in the swamps and forests around the tiny town of Fouke Arkansas.

Delving into one of the most intriguing, and unusual areas this side of the Bermuda Triangle, the film will tell the tale of the Kecksburg UFO crash, the Uniontown Bigfoot/UFO sightings, encounters with a large, prehistoric bird in Keystone State Park and much more. Invasion on Chestnut Ridge will be the first feature film to document this hotbed of paranormal activity. Is the ridge a magnet for strange and mystifying forces? A beacon to visitors from beyond? The Flatwoods Monster: A Legacy of Fear is a new documentary from Small Town Monsters, which will unlock a decades-old mystery that included a government-ordered military examination of a purported alien crash-site, and multiple UFOs seen by countless residents of Braxton County, WV. In the years since their brush with the "Flatwoods Monster", witnesses have seen their story evolve from a terrifying, true-life event to little more than a fable. Two of the remaining witnesses will set the record straight when the film is released on April 6th. The "Flatwoods Monster incident" has become one of the most famous legends in modern memory. However, with the Pentagon now opening up about UFO investigations dating back to the 1940's, the incident can be seen in a new light. In September of 1952 hundreds of people across the United States witnessed glowing objects streak across the skies over much of the Eastern Seaboard. One of the objects in question was seen to land on a hill near the small community of Flatwoods, West Virginia by a group of children. The children and two adults made a journey to the top of the hill to search for the object but instead found themselves face to face with a thirteen foot tall mechanical monster. Later that same evening a branch of the local National Guard unit would be dispatched by Air Force officials to investigate the site of the encounter.

In the early 1990's a rural Wisconsin community called Elkhorn was at the center of a series of real-life werewolf sightings. As local reporter, Linda Godfrey, began her investigations into the "Beast of Bray Road", other reports from around the country, and soon, the world, began flooding in. One of the most recent, and popular stories to hit major media in recent years has been an ongoing wave of sightings of a red-eyed, shapeless creature dubbed, the "Chicago Mothman"; an event which is also covered in great detail in this film.

On the trial of...Champ chronicles North America's most infamous lake monster, affectionately known as "Champ". Shot on location at Lake Champlain, Vermont/New York, USA, On the trail of...Champ dives deep into the rich history of the region in connection with Champ, as well as Champ's cultural impact in many of the rural communities that border the lake. Various eyewitnesses of the creature recall their encounters, including Sandra Mansi, who in 1977 took a photo of the creature considered by some to be the best evidence for any lake monster.
